Robert Marawa is a name synonymous with sports in any household that loves the game.

With over 20 years of experience as a respected sportscaster, Marawa has remained a key figure in the broadcasting world, constantly reinventing himself to stay ahead. 

Beyond his work in the studio, he is a testament to resilience – having survived two heart attacks – and a devoted father who balances his professional and personal life with unwavering dedication.

"I always say, I don't work towards awards, that's the last thing, and I think my team has always known that that is not the driving force of what we do. The driving force of what we do is to make sure that my boss, my boss being the listener, is always the person that benefits."

Described by many as a legend, Marawa reflects on one of his most famous quotes: "I'd rather starve in dignity than eat in shame."

This powerful statement encapsulates his approach to life, especially when confronting life's challenges.

He emphasises that he is a firm believer in the principle of "I said what I said," standing by his words because he genuinely believes in them.

Marawa acknowledges that his unwavering mindset might cause him to miss out on certain opportunities, but he insists that he'd rather face hardship with integrity than compromise his values.

For him, staying true to his beliefs is more important than chasing fleeting success at the cost of personal dignity.
