JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg City Power said it would be interrupting electricity in parts of Roodepoort for maintenance starting on Tuesday.

The entity said this was essential to prolong the lifespan of the network and also improve the quality of power supply.

Spokesperson Issacs Mangena said they had been working on fixing Lasepark and the surrounding areas, as well as Cecil Payne Stadium, which have been affected by an outage.

“In the next three days, we will undertake planned maintenance work at Manufacturer substation, also Glen Lee substation, and Penny Street switching station respectively to ensure that we enhance the quality of our services.”
