Foreign national in court over multiple murder, attempted murder charges

CAPE TOWN - A 29-year-old foreign national is in court over multiple murder and attempted murder charges.

He was arrested last Thursday for numerous taxi-related offences in De Doorns.

Authorities initially detained the suspect in Johannesburg earlier this week and later transferred him to De Doorns for investigations.

"Intelligence led to the interviewing of numerous witnesses who identified more related cases. He will appear in Worcester Magistrate's Court today [Friday] on the mentioned charges," said South Africa Police Service's Captain Frederick C van Wyk.
