Deputy police minister to inspect Beitbridge border post in attempt to combat cross-border crimes

JOHANNESBURG - In an attempt to fight against cross-border crimes, Deputy Police Minister Polly Boshielo will be inspecting the Beitbridge port of entry in Limpopo on Tuesday.
The border is one of the busiest ports of entry in the country, previously seeing movement of more than 5 million people in 2019.
Boshielo, alongside government officials, will conduct their annual visit as part of the road safety festive season inspection tour.
Limpopo police spokesperson, Hlulani Mashaba: "The visit is part of concerted efforts by the South African Police Service and Border Management Authority to intensify the fight against cross-border crimes and ensure a safe crossover to the 2025 year."
