JOHANNESBURG - KwaZulu-Natal's Premier is calling for men to be educated on the impact of social ills to help curb violence against women and children.
Premier Thami Ntuli’s comments come after a man kidnapped and murdered his 3-year-old stepchild and attacked the child's 7-year-old brother with a panga on a farm in Tongaat, north of Durban.
Provincial police, including the K9 unit, arrested the stepfather after discovering the toddler's body on Saturday.
Ntuli, who condemned the heinous act, said that this type of violence reflected deeper societal issues.
