"We will fix the basic local government by ensuring that we have reliable water supply, stabilize electricity infrastructure, provide collection of refuse and fill our potholes across the city. Democrats, we will make our community safer by empowering law enforcement agencies to protect its residents and ensure that they enforce bylaws across the city," said Rasilingwane.
DA provincial leader Solly Msimanga added that Ekurhuleni is in urgent need of strong leadership to address ongoing governance issues.
“If you understand how Gauteng must work, Cilliers Brink must take care of the issues of government and governance in Tshwane. Johannesburg must be a hub that controls what happens with business. Ekurhuleni must be the center that says anything that is logistic must come here, must work through this metro, and be distributed throughout the province," said Msimanga.
