Gauteng hospitals welcome more than 200 newborns on New Year's Day
The province’s Health MEC, Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko, celebrated the arrival of the new bundles of joy during her visit to the hospital in Diepkloof, Soweto.

JOHANNESBURG - Just more than 200 babies and counting have been born in Gauteng this year so far.
Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital is leading with 31 deliveries, the same number as last year.
It's closely followed by Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital with 20 little ones.
The province’s Health MEC, Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko, celebrated the arrival of the new bundles of joy during her visit to the hospital in Diepkloof, Soweto.
"We welcome the new babies that have just come into the world. I want to start congratulating the parents who have embraced this incredible journey."
