DURBAN - The KwaZulu-Natal government has cautioned residents to brace for more inclement weather.

This comes as disruptive rains are still expected in parts of the province this week.

Three people have died in weather-related incidents over the past weekend, while 17 people lost their lives in a multi-vehicle crash that occurred under misty and rainy conditions on Van Reenen Pass on Monday.

“Residents are urged to remain vigilant as inclement weather conditions are expected to continue. Motorists are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution on the roads due to slippery conditions,” said KwaZulu-Natal Cooperative Governance spokesperson Senzelwe Mzila.
