12 suspects arrested in connection to Inanda mass killing to appear in court

JOHANNESBURG - The 12 suspects who were arrested for alleged involvement in the murder of five men in Inanda, KwaZulu-Natal, will appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrates Court on Monday.
The alleged perpetrators, who were apprehended on Friday, are believed to be part of a gang in the area.
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli expressed concern over the high levels of crime in the community.
Provincial police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda said the suspects are between the ages of 22 and 70 years old.
“Swift police investigations have led to the arrest of 12 suspects in connection with the murders of five people who were butchered to death at two sports fields at Bambayi in Inanda on Friday morning. The suspects are believed to be members of a certain forum in the community, and more arrests cannot be ruled out.”
