Angela Revie to be awarded prima ballerina title

JOHANNESBURG - After a 12-year hiatus, the prestigious title of prima ballerina is being awarded on Sunday.

Angela Revie, a dancer with the Mzansi Ballet Company, will receive this honorary ranking at Montecasino in Johannesburg.

Dirk Badenhorst, the company's owner, has praised Revie for her exceptional skill and technique, which has set her apart in the ballet world.

“This honour is bestowed upon a ballerina that has shown her true grit and her technical prowess as well as storytelling in an incredible way, being recognised for all her contribution as a ballerina to ballet in South Africa.”
