SAMWU demands removal of City of JHB’s COO

The South African Municipal Workers' Union (SAMWU) protested outside the City of Johannesburg’s (CoJ) council chambers and demanded the removal of acting CoJ COO Helen Botes. During her time as Johannesburg Property Company CEO, she was linked to financial conduct that resulted in the wasteful expenditure of R18 million.
