Investigation underway after father gunned down at son's funeral in Western Cape

CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape police have launched an investigation after a 54-year-old man was shot and killed at his son's funeral.
Police said the suspect, a 26-year-old man was subsequently caught by community members at Beverly Court in Ravensmead and beaten to death.
It's understood the incident is believed to be gang-related.
Provincial SAPS spokesperson, FC Van Wyk said the double murder incident happened on Saturday.
"According to reports, the deceased attended his son’s funeral at the mentioned address when the suspect shot and fatally wounded him with a gunshot wound to the back of the head. The suspect then ran away but was chased and apprehended by the community."
