JOHANNESBURG - Four suspects arrested in connection with the torching of 51 Putco buses in Mpumalanga are set to appear before the Mdutjana Magistrates Court on Thursday, for a formal bail application.
On Wednesday, two more suspects arrested earlier in the week appeared before the court and were remanded in custody to join their co-accused for a formal bail hearing.
Mduduzi Masango, Steven Mthombeni, Isaac Mabena and Luthando Skhosana were arrested as part of ongoing investigations into January’s attack.
It’s believed that the suspects may be involved in a wider coordinated attack on the bus fleet.
The damage is estimated at R65 million, with 51 buses, service vehicles, and infrastructure affected.
