Water supply slowly trickling back after Emfuleni Municipality power outage - Rand Water

JOHANNESBURG - Some residents in several parts of Johannesburg will have to wait a little longer for water supply to resume.
 
A power failure in the Emfuleni Municipality led to an interruption of the water supply.
 
Rand Water said that power had been restored and systems were operating at full capacity. However, areas in high-lying areas would experience a delay in water supply.
 
Rand Water spokesperson Makenosi Maroo said that supply was slowly trickling back to affected areas.
 
"But the power has been restored and we are operating at full capacity, people are beginning to get water. High-lying areas will struggle as compared to low-lying areas, but we are pumping at full capacity as Rand Water."
