Curro Durbanville's extremely well-rehearsed, interschool sports day anthem, filled with flash formations and lekker South African gees - has gone viral!

It even caught the attention of Hollywood actress, Jennifer Garner who loved the video and posted it to her 24-hour Instagram story.

It was originally shared a few days ago by Tania Page, a Curro mom and viral storyteller.

The video exploded, racking up over 55 million (and counting) views across social media platforms in just two days, with their incredible spirit capturing hearts across the globe.

Of course, Kfm Mornings found the teacher behind this impressive choreography for this war cry, Deon Van Zyl.

The teacher says this war cry was a great example of mass participation and a way for students in the stand to support athletes on the field.

"It's still so crazy that this went so viral," says Van Zyl.

But how long did choreographing something like this take? Just over 12 hours, says Van Zyl.

"For 12 hours, the students did a phenomenal job and for it to go viral is fantastic," adds Van Zyl.

"I have to be willing to make a complete fool of myself on stage as well, it's a step by step thing and I had brilliant cheerleaders with me all the way," explains Van Zyl.

"We're here for academics but we're here to have fun as well and get involved with different things and that's our whole outlook on life," concludes Van Zyl.
