JOHANNESBURG - Ekurhuleni council Speaker Nthabiseng Tshivhenga’s future in the seat hangs in the balance as she faces a no-confidence vote on Thursday.
The motion for her removal was tabled by the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) and has been endorsed by several opposition parties.

Tshivhenga is accused of failing in her duties as Speaker since her election to the position exactly two years ago.
She said she was willing to accept whatever decision the council took.
"I will accept my fate and whatever outcome it will be. I'm in a position to accept if the councillors in the City of Ekurhuleni that have voted us in the position do not want me to lead them anymore as the Speaker."
