Cape Town's month-long pride festival celebrates LGBTIQ+ community

CAPE TOWN - The streets of Green Point in Cape Town will be a feast of colour on Saturday with the annual Cape Town Pride Parade taking place.

The parade and Mardi Gras is the culmination of a month-long pride festival celebrating diversity, inclusion, and raising awareness of LGBTIQ+.

Festivities will start at De Waterkant’s Alfred Street at 11 o’clock.

The City’s MMC for Safety and Security JP Smith shares his excitement for the upcoming event.
