JOHANNESBURG - ActionSA has announced that it will present three legislative proposals to reform governance in South Africa and target the executive.

The opposition party says its proposals that will be submitted to the National Assembly as bills seek to address the “very heart of corruption”.

On Monday, the announcement will be attended by party leader Herman Mashaba and parliamentary leader Athol Trollip.

Party spokesperson Matthew George says ActionSA is committed to being a constructive opposition.

“These bold reforms will mark the most significant overhaul of the executive since 1994 and will strike at the very heart of corruption, a pernicious cancer that ActionSA has long declared public enemy no. 1.

“ActionSA has committed to being a constructive opposition, one that punches far above its weight and leverages its legislative access to drive meaningful reforms addressing the pressing issues that have hindered South Africa’s prosperity for far too long.”
