Gongotha, while on patrol in the Middelpos area, Smith pulled him off outside a residence with loud music where she looked like she was having a "good time".

He told the court that even after spending time with Smith while taking statements, she showed no emotion and didn't shed a single tear for her missing child.

Gongotha said that Kelly informed him that she left Joshlin with co-accused, Jacquen Appolis, before going to work.

He told the court that when they went to meet Appolis, he found it strange that Smith failed to ask what happened to Joshlin.
