JOHANNESBURG - KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) parents are urged not to force their children to go to school during inclement weather.
The Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) MEC, Thulasizwe Buthelezi, made this plea following an orange level five warning for intensified rainfall and thundershowers, which could lead to localised flooding.
This warning comes after recent floods that claimed 11 lives, damaged homes, and resulted in the closure of multiple roads around the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality.
