Commuters had to look for alternative transport on Monday after drivers decided to stop working.

JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg Metrobus operations remain temporarily suspended on Tuesday morning because drivers have gone on strike.  

Commuters had to look for alternative transport on Monday after drivers decided to stop working.  

Employees affiliated with the South African Municipal Workers Union (SAMWU) are striking over wages. 

Metrobus bosses said talks are still ongoing.
