JOHANNESBURG - The nine victims of the N2 bus crash in Kwazulu-Natal (KZN) were remembered at a memorial service in Stanger on Thursday.
The group died when their bus tyre reportedly burst between Stanger and Mandeni on Sunday.
All the victims were members of the 12 Apostle Church in Trinity, travelling from Richards Bay to Shakaskraal in northern KZN.
KZN Transport MEC Siboniso Duma said: "We had to organise this memorial service because, unfortunately, we couldn't do the mass funeral because they are also going to be burying in different areas. So, that is why we had to come today."
Duma added that the department would issue a full report into the accident as soon as it was concluded.
"At the right time, we will have a proper media briefing. We are going to give you all the details pertaining to what happened on the scene of the event."
