CAPE TOWN - Mop-up operations have begun in KwaZulu-Natal after two nights of heavy rainfall.
Operations are taking place in different areas, particularly eThekwini, as the area is facing the effects of fallen trees, damaged power lines, and flooded roads.

Senzelwe Mzila, the spokesperson for the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), said monitoring continues.
“A level 4 weather warning continues for large parts of the province. The MEC for COGTA has urged motorists to drive with caution as the roads are slippery. Disaster management teams will continue to monitor areas that are prone to weather-related incidents.”
