Sun International sees 60.6% surge in online gambling income

South African gaming and hospitality group, Sun International's earnings are up by over 10% in the year to end 31 December.
The boost coming from its online betting service, SunBet, with its revenue grew by over 60%.
The SunBet online gaming unit raked in a record R1.2 billion in the last financial year.
At the same time, Sun International is also seeing a recovery in its tourism market.
Revenue from rooms and food & beverages was also up by 10%.
Speaking to Stephen Grootes on The Money Show, Anthony Leeming, CEO of Sun International says there's an overall improvement in the hospitality and entertainment sectors.
He says a large portion of its revenue comes in from locals.
