Heavy traffic on the N12 highway due to protest

JOHANNESBURG - Eldorado park residents staged a protest over service delivery on the N12 highway on Friday morning.

Police said the highway between the Golden highway and Klipspruit valley road was closed to traffic in both directions.

It’s unclear what the group’s demands were but police remained on the scene.

Metro police spokesperson Xolani Fihla said "the closure is causing heavy traffic disruptions and delays in the area and motorists are advised to exercise caution and avoid the N12."
