Women on Farms Project will be hosting the South African People's Tribunal on AgroToxins this weekend.
Judge Navi Pillay, Dr Sophia Kisting-Cairncross, and Human Rights commissioner, Philile Ntuli, will be adjudicating the proceedings.
The organisation's Kara Mackay said the aim of the tribunal was to inform the public about the high levels of toxic pesticides being used on farms.
"For the public, we also want to put a notice that the food that we are eating is poisoned with highly hazardous pesticides. The farmworkers are directly exposed but the public is being basically micro-exposed to pesticides, and we feel that this is a collective issue we all need to recognise and change."
