Police operations across Cape Town net 4 suspects for possession of drugs

CAPE TOWN - Cape Town police arrested four suspects after drug busts in Delft, Lwandle and Elsies River on Thursday night.
In Delft, police arrested two men aged 45 and 33 in Aerobat Street, on charges of illegal ammunition and drugs.
Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg said that later on Thursday evening, members were deployed in Lwandle for a drug bust.
"Members of Operation Restore deployed in Lwandle searched a premises in Nobuhle Street and confiscated 1,399 mandrax tablets and 18 packets containing crystal meth. A 60-year-old female was arrested for the possession of drugs."

He added that more drugs were confiscated in Elsies River.
"Members of Operation Shanela searched a premises in Girling Court, Elsies River, where they arrested a 34-year-old man when they found 198 mandrax tablets, two medium size packets containing crystal meth and an undisclosed amount of cash in the house."
All four suspects made their court appearances on Friday in the Bellville, Strand and Goodwood magistrates courts, respectively.
