Teacher arrested for raping 13-year-old pupil in Limpopo

JOHANNESBURG - A teacher accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in Limpopo has been arrested.

The 58-year-old man had been on the run since last week Wednesday after finding out that a case of rape was opened against him.

It’s understood that the teenager was subjected to rape since November last year after another teacher informed her mother.

Police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba said the man was arrested on Monday.

"We will do everything to ensure that justice prevails for our young girl. We will never allow anyone to molest children under our watch," said Mashaba.
