CAPE TOWN - The court case related to the disappearance of German tourist Nick Frischke has been postponed because the prosecutor is involved in the Joshlin Smith trial.

Frischke has been missing for more than two years after allegedly being robbed while hiking in Hout Bay.

Igshaan Fisher, Vanroy Petersen, Carlo Guenantin, and Melvin Guenantin made a brief appearance in the Wynberg Regional Court on Friday.

It's the State's case that the alleged gang members robbed Frischke of his cellphone and backpack on 14 February 2023.

The four accused allegedly accosted Frischke while the 22-year-old was hiking along the Hangberg trail in Hout Bay.

An investigating officer has testified that Melvin witnessed Fisher stab Frischke in the back during the alleged robbery.

The matter was postponed to Thursday, 10 April, because the prosecutor is also involved in the Joshlin Smith trial, currently underway in Saldanha Bay.
