JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa has assured the South African Council of Churches (SACC) that the country will continue to pursue its independent foreign policy.
The president met with religious leaders on Friday to discuss issues of national interest.
Ramaphosa committed government’s support for greater cooperation with churches.
In light of the recent tensions between the United States (US) and South Africa, the president assured the SACC that the country will not align itself with any of the major powers or blocs in the world.
