CAF semi-finals: Sundowns clash with Al Ahly as Pirates face Pyramids in Saturday showdowns

JOHANNESBURG – Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly will battle it out on Saturday in the first leg of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) semi-finals.
The match is set to kick off at 3pm on Saturday at Loftus Stadium.
The Brazilians qualified for the last four for the third successive year after eliminating ES Tunis 1-0 on aggregate.
The 14-time champions will continue to defend their title as they face the Brazilians for a fifth consecutive time in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.
Masandawana has developed impressive defensive solidity this season, conceding just 3 goals in 8 CAF League matches.

The first leg will take place in 19 April, kick-off is 15:00, with the second leg taking place on 25 April at 18:00.

ORLANDO PIRATES
The Buccaneers will host Pyramids FC at FNB Stadium on Saturday at 18:00.
The Sea Robbers are fresh off a 1-0 victory over Marumo Gallants in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals.
The Pyramids kicked out FAR 4-3 on aggregate to set up this clash, and they have scored 18 goals in eight CAF Champions League matches this season, while Pirates scored 11 in eight games.
Orlando Pirates have been unbeaten in this season's competition, having not conceded a goal.
The first leg will be on 19 April at 18:00 and the second leg takes place on 25 April at 20:00.
