At one of their last court appearances in December last year, we heard that they moved to an unnamed prison for safety reasons.

The court denied them bail in January, citing that the state had a compelling case against the pair.

During their bail application, Jacobs and Bezuidenhout accused the police of abuse at the time of their arrest.

Their bail appeal is expected to be argued in the Western Cape High Court on Thursday.
