Good Party condemns murder of Stellenbosch MMC Xolile Kalipa as 'a senseless act of violence'

CAPE TOWN - Police have yet to make a breakthrough in the murder of Stellenbosch MMC, Xolile Kalipa.
The 54-year-old Democratic Alliance (DA) councillor was shot dead in Kayamandi on Sunday night and the motive is unclear.
The GOOD Party's Marius van Stade: "GOOD strongly condemns this senseless act of violence and joins the calls for an immediate and thorough investigation by the South African Police Service (SAPS). It is imperative that justice is served, and those responsible are held accountable without delay."
Van Stade said that Kalipa would be dearly missed.
"Councillor Kalipa was known as a soft-spoken, humble, and dedicated public servant. He will be remembered as a passionate individual who always had an open ear for the concerns of his community and worked tirelessly to assist those in need."
