Constables Boipelo Senoge, Cebekhulu Linda, and Keamogetswe Buys died while travelling to Polokwane.
Their bodies, along with their vehicle, were recovered last week from the Hennops River in Centurion.
Masemola hailed what he said was the officers' dedication to law enforcement.
"Law enforcement is a unique endeavour. Some would say it’s a profession, some would say it’s a calling. We normally say it’s a calling, because it’s only those that have passion and dedication that choose to come and serve the community and the service."
