MPUMALANGA - One of the accused suspects in the case of missing journalist Aserie Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Mdhluli is due back at the KwaMhlanga Magistrates Court in Mpumalanga on Wednesday.

Samuel Mogongwe made a brief appearance on Tuesday at the court and was remanded in custody after his matter was transferred from Mamelodi Magistrates Court to Mpumalanga.

It's understood the matter was moved to be heard in KwaMhlanga under the belief that the alleged crimes transpired in that area.

The two remaining suspects are expected to appear in the same court this week.

Two out of the four suspects arrested and charged with hijacking and kidnapping in the case made their first appearances on Tuesday in court, concurrently.

One of the suspects, a 17-year-old boy, appeared at the children's court in KwaMhlanga where he was released from custody.

At the same time, the second suspect, Mogongwe, made his appearance at KwaMhlanga Magistrates Court where his matter was postponed for additional charges.

Police are still searching for the couple who have been missing for 78 days.

It's believed one of the accused suspects was the last person to be seen with the missing pair in Mamelodi, east of Pretoria, earlier this year
