JOHANNESBURG - The Miss South Africa Organisation has confirmed that Miss SA, Mia Le Roux will not be competing in the Miss Supranational 2025 contest.
"With deep appreciation to our amazing supporters, we announce that Miss South Africa will not be competing in the Miss Supranational 2025 competition, scheduled for June in Poland," the organisation wrote in a statement posted on social media on Wednesday.

After withdrawing from the Miss Universe 2023 contest due to health concerns, this is the second time Le Roux has withdrawn from an international competition.
Roux will not be participating in this year's Miss Universe pageant, according to a statement issued last year, citing health issues.
"Mia has shown incredible courage and grace throughout this difficult period. Her health and well-being are our utmost priority, and we stand by her side, dedicated to ensuring she regains her strength and returns to full health," the Miss South Africa organisation's statement read."
Le Roux, the first hearing-impaired winner in the competition's 66-year history, was crowned Miss South Africa in August this year. She was diagnosed with profound hearing loss when she was a year old and relies on a cochlear implant.
She later explained that she wanted to be transparent with her fans and share her story.
In her video she spoke of having vertigo, which is the sensation of spinning or motion while you are not moving at all. It can feel like you're falling or that you or the environment around you is whirling.
Lebohang Raputsoe, who was a contestant in Miss South Africa 2023, will now represent the country in the Supranational pageant.
