DURBAN - Police in KwaZulu-Natal say they are working on identifying those who have threatened to cause public violence ahead of the Nedbank Cup match in Durban on Saturday.
Some unhappy football supporters have raised concerns about the ticket sales for the Soweto derby, alleging that most tickets were sold to people outside KZN.
Police say these remarks are misleading and inflammatory.

Vendors are said to have oversold tickets due to a system glitch.
Police top brass briefed the media at the stadium on Friday on the state of readiness for the game on Saturday.
This week, social media has been a buzz with dissatisfied football supporters claiming that tickets were not sold fairly.
Some said that they camped for hours in long queues to purchase tickets, but did not succeed due to a system glitch.
Other supporters made videos threatening to force entry at the stadium.
KwaZulu-Natal Deputy Police Provincial Commissioner Phumelele Makhoba said not under their watch.
"Our intelligence officers are at work identifying those individuals who are want to create chaos on the day of the match."
She added that police will decisively deal with lawlessness.
"Those who have threatened to block certain roads are advised to reconsider that idea because closing roads is a criminal offence and we will deal with them decisively."
Various police commanders are preparing the stadium for Saturday.
