To date, the five accused have all appeared before the KwaMhlanga Magistrates Court facing charges including kidnapping and suspected stolen property.
NPA spokesperson Monica Nyuswa said that additional charges would be determined by the results of outstanding DNA taken from the discovered remains.
"The investigations in this matter are ongoing. There is a possibility of adding more charges but depending on the outcome of investigations, as you remember that we got the news that they recovered two bodies yesterday but those bodies still have to undergo medical tests. Then the outcome of the medical tests will determine whether charges will be added to the accused or not."
