JOHANNESBURG - Angry residents at the “Swazi Place” complex in Fleurhof, are forcefully conducting what they are terming door-to-door searches of apartments in the complex, following the murder of an 11-year-old boy whose body was found was left on his family’s doorstep.

On Tuesday, Jaydon Lee’s family reported him missing after he did not return from school, in spite of his scholar transport driver informing them that he had dropped the boy off as usual.

In a tragic turn of events, as the family was frantically searching for the child, they returned home in the early hours of this morning to his lifeless body on a staircase leading to their front door.

On Tuesday afternoon, police are currently briefing Gauteng police spokesperson, Mavela Masondo, on details surrounding the 11-year-old’s death.

The enraged community is currently demanding that all locked doors in the apartment block be opened, as they seek answers about the child’s passing.

His visibly distraught family was also engaging police on Wednesday afternoon.

They said the security at their complex confirmed that they saw the little boy enter the premises after school on Tuesday, however, the rest is still a mystery.
