Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema is back in the East London Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Malema is expected to conclude his pre-sentencing hearing, with sentencing scheduled for Thursday.

The red berets' leader was found guilty of violating gun laws when he fired a rifle at a rally in Mdantsane eight years ago.

Scores of EFF supporters have come out in numbers to support Malema.

They marched through the streets of Kugompo City, in the Eastern Cape, ahead of Malema's sentencing on Tuesday.

The party has also booked the Jan Smuts Stadium, where the majority of its supporters will be stationed.

Massive jumbo screens have been set up for the red berets to follow the court proceedings over the next two days.
