Acceptance offers for grade R, 1 & 8 applications to be sent out from 30 May

CAPE TOWN - Parents and guardians who have made applications for grades R, one, and eight for 2026 are urged to make sure their contact details are updated on the Education Department’s website.

The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) said that from next Friday, acceptance offers would be sent out.

Western Cape Education MEC David Maynier said that a step-by-step guide to update login details was available on the WCED website.

"Schools will start to make offers of acceptance to parents who applied on time for grade R, 1 or 8 in 2026 on the 30th of May 2025. Parents will then be required to log into the WCED admission system to confirm their acceptance by the 17th of June 2025."
