JOHANNESBURG - The National Consumer Commission (NCC) is urging owners of the recalled Ford Ranger Light commercial vehicles to urgently return their cars to their closest dealerships.
The commission received the latest recall from Ford Motor Company earlier this week, owing to a defect.
The vehicle was made for sale last year and was distributed nationally and to neighboring countries.
The misplacement of the control arm has been identified as defective.

It reportedly fitted on the left-hand side of the car instead of the correct side - the front lower control arm.
The NCC's Prudence Moilwa said the separation of the joint may result in loss of control of the affected wheel.
"This may result in the increased risk of a crash or injury the product was exported to Namibia, Botswana and Swaziland. Consumers are requested to contact the nearest authorised dealership for an appointment to repair the defect."
