JOHANNESBURG - Relatives of some of the miners waiting to be rescued at Stillwater-Sibanye’s Kloof operations are waiting anxiously for any information on the well-being of their loved ones.

Technical teams were then deployed on site for an intense rescue mission.
The first group resurfaced on Friday afternoon unscathed.
The second group is yet to emerge, almost two hours after a group of miners was rescued.
That wait is an anxious one for the relatives who have not been in communication with their loved ones since Thursday.
While no fatalities or injuries have been reported, the wife of one of the trapped miners said all she needed was reassurance from mine management that her husband was well and would be home at the end of the day.
"Look at the time now, we haven’t heard from anyone. No one is giving us answers. I’ve been trying to call, and no one is answering."
A frustrated relative said her calls had gone unanswered and she’s worried that time was ticking by with no answer about her husband’s whereabouts and well-being.
Medical teams are on standby to assist the miners who resurfaced before releasing them back home.
