JOHANNESBURG - The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Youth Command in Soweto is marching to the Total Ninja in Northgate, demanding accountability after a woman lost her leg following an injury at the facility.

Khetiwe Mngomezulu was injured during a visit to the indoor obstacle course in April.

The 27-year-old claims there were no medical personnel on site and says she waited hours for help before being taken to hospital.

Mngomezulu said doctors later told her the delay led to severe complications and her leg had to be amputated above the knee.

EFF Youth Command leader Mmeli Gabashe, who is leading Saturday’s protest, said the park must be held responsible.

“Today [Saturday], we want them to take full accountability to what has happened because this is their negligence. We want them to take care of most of the reparations, there must be a form of reparation”
