2 suspects arrested for human trafficking in Goodwood due in court

CAPE TOWN - Two suspects arrested for trafficking in persons in Goodwood are expected to make their first court appearance on Monday morning.
The pair, in their 30s, were arrested on Friday.
The Hawks received information about a possible trafficked victim being held against her will at a guest house in Goodwood and forced to work as a sex worker.
Hawks spokesperson, Siyabulela Vukubi: "During the search, four females were found in the guest house, who admitted to being sex workers. An additional five other adult persons were found, along with three small children. Two of the persons were identified as the managers of the guest house. Investigation revealed that one of the sex workers was a victim of trafficking. The two managers of the guest house were immediately arrested."
Vukubi said that the victim was taken to a medical facility for examination and thereafter referred to a place of safety.
