Unknown man dies after reportedly jumping off Cape Town's Hotel Sky rooftop
Hotel management confirmed the incident on Monday. The man’s body could still be seen lying in the middle of the road, covered in an emergency rescue blanket.
CAPE TOWN - An unknown man is dead after reportedly jumping off the rooftop of the Hotel Sky in Cape Town.
Hotel management confirmed the incident on Monday.
The sales and marketing director, Inge Dykman, says the deceased walked in from the street and went up to the 28th floor, which is the rooftop, and then jumped to his death despite the security and safety measures.
Lower Long Street in front of Hotel Sky in Cape Town’s CBD has been cordoned off after a man reportedly jumped from the top of the building.
The man’s body could still be seen lying in the middle of the road, covered in an emergency rescue blanket.
Traffic police and South African Police Service (SAPS) officers were also present, awaiting forensics to inspect the scene.
