UPDATE: 3 rescued after Joburg construction site wall collapse

JOHANNESBURG - Three people have been rescued at a construction site in Houghton, north of Johannesburg, after a wall collapsed at a residential area in the suburb on Monday afternoon.
The three casualties who were trapped underneath the rubble earlier are receiving medical treatment at nearby hospitals.
According to Joburg Emergency Management Services (EMS), an investigation is underway to determine the cause of a wall collapse.
Joburg EMS says everyone else who was actively working on site at the time of the incident is safe
EMS spokesperson Xolile Khumalo says teams are still working on site to secure the area.
“Two patients were extricated and transported to Charlotte Maxheke Hospital for further treatment. The third patient was rescued shortly afterwards and taken to Milpark Hospital.”
