Death toll from vehicle collision near Vryheid rises to 12

DURBAN - Twelve people believed to be supporters of different political parties have died in a crash in KwaZulu-Natal.
The bus they were travelling in from a political event in Durban collided with a truck on the R24 near Vryheid.
Three political parties held Youth Day rallies in Durban on Monday.
Transport department spokesperson, Ndabezihle Sibiya: "The MEC has received an updated report indicating that 12 people have died from the horrific accident involving the bus and the truck. The truck struck the bus on the side, resulting in fatalities."
