Bail bid for man accused of murdering Likhona Fose postponed to next week

JOHANNESBURG - The man accused of murdering 14-year-old Likhona Fose will have to wait another week for his bail bid to be heard.
Mduduzi Mnisi made a second court appearance in the Roodepoort Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
He's charged with the premeditated murder of the teen.
The child's mutilated body was dumped near her home in Durban Deep almost two weeks ago.
Mnisi's bail application was rescheduled for the matter to be heard in the regional court next week.
Magistrate Anneline Africa explained: "Sir, your matter has been rolled over to the 24th of June, that is next week Tuesday, to regional court K for your bail arrangements."
Last week, the matter was postponed until Wednesday to allow the State time to secure bail information.
The prosecution has already indicated that they will oppose bail for this schedule six crime.
"We have done all the groundwork as the State, including the profiling of the accused, and hence, we say as the State, we are ready to proceed," said National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane.
The accused will remain in custody until his next court appearance.
