CAPE TOWN - The anti-gang unit in the Western Cape is following up on all leads to arrest alleged underworld figure Andre Naude's killers.
The nightclub security boss, who was shot dead in Parow two weeks ago, is the fifth accused in the Brian Wainstein trial to be murdered.
Wainstein was operating a lucrative illegal steroid business before being shot dead in 2017.
Alleged underworld kingpin, Mark Lifman, who was shot dead in George seven months ago, was another accused in the trial.
At Naude's funeral service, alleged underworld figures Jerome "Donkie" Booysen and Igor "The Russian" Russol, carried Naude's coffin out of the church on Monday.
Booysen and Russol are among 11 accused also on trial for Wainstein's murder.
Police spokesperson, Frederick van Wyk, said that Naude's murder was still being investigated and arrests were yet to be made.
"We urge anyone that have visuals that can come and give us information pertaining to this incident to contact the investigating officer of anti-gang unit, Detective Sergeant Carl Jooste on 071 300 5029."
